Community Rhythms: Family, Culture & Music in Bristol’s East African Diaspora

Evolve Music has released a powerful new audio piece exploring the findings of the Community Rhythms project an in-depth, community-led exploration into the role of music, family and culture among Bristol’s Somali and East African diaspora.

The audio brings together voices from across the community alongside reflections from artists, cultural leaders, and Evolve Music’s own team. It explores the parenting practices, gender roles, intergenerational challenges and the importance of creating culturally relevant music spaces.
