Videographer Commission – Sound Lab Summer Club (Frome)

Videographer Commission – Sound Lab Summer Club (Frome)

Project Overview
Evolve Music is seeking a videographer to capture engaging, high-quality footage of our Sound Lab Summer Club in Frome. This inclusive music-making programme brings together young people with additional needs for fun, creative sessions during the summer holidays.

We aim to document the spirit of the programme and build a bank of content for social media, marketing and future funding applications.

Purpose of the Footage

  • Showcase the inclusive, creative, musical and supportive nature of the sessions
  • Highlight participants’ enjoyment, creativity and musical exploration
  • Capture interactions between music leaders and feedback/expectations from participants
  • Provide content suitable for social media, website, and promotional use
  • Document the project for stakeholders and funders

Filming Schedule

  • The Summer Club runs from 1pm–3pm on 4th, 5th, and 6th August 2025
  • Venue: The Key Centre, Frome
  • We would like the videographer to attend at least one session, with a preference for someone available to cover two sessions to provide a fuller picture of the programme

Deliverables

  • Circa. 10 short clips (15–30 seconds each), suitable for social media Reels and Stories
  • Raw footage from the session(s)
  • A small batch of high-quality stills for Evolve Music’s image and video library (if possible)

Style & Tone

  • Warm, inclusive, and upbeat
  • Naturalistic and unobtrusive filming style
  • Sensitive to the needs of participants, including neurodivergent young people

Fee
£350, inclusive of:

  • A short preliminary meeting (online or in person)
  • Attendance at one or two sessions
  • Delivery of raw footage and around 10 edited short clips

We are a small charity and appreciate this is a modest fee, but we hope the project’s values and potential future opportunities will be of interest to early-career or community-minded creatives.

Requirements

  • Availability on 4th, 5th or 6th August (afternoons)
  • Own filming equipment and editing software
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and respectfully within a sensitive community setting
